بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Assalamualaikum
For the beginning, I choose to buy Chrysanthemum. The florist told me it can last for a week. Well, that is good enough.
This post actually has nothing to do with my name haha. Part of my 2018 resolutions, I wanted to appreciate living things more. We have been surrounded virtually 24/7 with gadgets and technology but seldom connected or even notice the detail of living creatures which is tons more wonderful than any other human made existence.
The combination of beauty, aroma and freshness is enough to make us feel good. The colors option also endless! MashaAllah, how beautiful Allah has created those flowers.
Surah Qaf: “And the Earth, We spread it out, and cast therein firmly set mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds; to give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns to Allah.” [50:7-8]
Hi Lovelies! I hope you guys are doing well. This is my first post in 2018. I can't believe I still on blogging. I just love writing and blog is my best friend to pour all my thoughts and random ideas. I hope to post more meaningful content in 2018 in my blog. Today I wanted to talk about flowers! I have been watching many lifestyle youtubers lately. Most of them keep fresh flowers in their room which instantly add beauty to the surrounding. I don't know why I hardly envisage flowers to fill in my room on regular basis and only see as extravagance reserved for gift. Hey, why don't we love living things because they make us feel more alive and vibrant. They worship Allah too same like us. They made zikr to Allah in their own language that we don't understand. Build a good relationship with nature should be rewarding because we're niche with similar physiological well being. Human need water, plant also required water. They provide us oxygen through the process of photosynthesis while we expel carbon dioxide for plant. See, how amazing we dependent on each other.

How can this girl almost forgot her name was derived from the flower's name. When I was small, I asked my mom why do you name me Yasmin? My mom said because your dad loves that name so much and it's a universal name. He has named me before I was born. Yasmin means Jasmine flower in Arabic. Maybe my father fancy the name because he speaks Arabic, hehe. Back then, I always think 'Yasmin' and 'Jasmine' are completely two different meaning. I hate if people pronounce my name wrongly. Whenever they call me Jasmine, I immediately corrected them. 'It's not Jasmine, its Yasminnnn dude! haha. Whatever it is, I should not disregard but appreciate my name that has given by our parents.
The moment I wrote this post, for the first time ever I google the full meaning of my name. Gosh. haha so here is the description.
Origin of the name Yasmin:
Derived from the Arabic Yasmīn (jasmine), from the name of a bush bearing white, sweet-smelling flowers.
History of the name:
Yasmin name is a Persian name that it means Yasamanah. It is a beautiful and lovely flower that it is white. In English Yasmin is Jasmine. Some people think that Yasmin name is Arabic or a Muslim but it isn't Zoroastrianism. In past the people who named Yasmin or Yasamanah were very rich.
